Walking around one of the industrial parks on the outskirts of the city, I really liked the way the side of this Boeing facility was illuminated by the early morning sunlight. There’s probably a better angle to photograph it from (avoiding that slightly annoying lamp post in the middle of the frame), and maybe something that would look good in large format…

Sheffield and Seattle linked through Boeing, how interesting. Sometimes I forget the company’s reach. What do they work on, at this plant, do you know?

I had look it up, but apparently (according to their website)…
“What’s made at Boeing Sheffield?
We make more than 100 different high-tech actuation system components for the 737 and 767, from raw materials sourced in the UK. These components are used on the trailing edge of the wings. Trailing edge actuation systems are responsible for extending and retracting the wing’s flaps during different phases of flight. The flaps add lift to enable take-off and landing at lower speeds, and provide drag to help slow the aircraft.”
The plant really catches the light nicely, especially in the morning.
