Eggs

A couple of pictures I made on Saturday with my Chamonix 4×5 camera. The closing date for the photo contest I enter each month is tomorrow and I needed something to fit October’s theme, which is Culinary.

In the end, I chose the second picture as my entry, although I was really torn between the two. The second shot fits the theme better, I think, but artistically I probably prefer the first. I’ve probably made the wrong choice.

I usually do.

Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

…Clearly the chicken, because I posted a picture of her yesterday! 😀

This self-service dresser full of fresh eggs was in the driveway of North Leverton Windmill, which I visited three weeks ago. Time really flies! – it only feels like last weekend that I made the trip!

There will be a bunch of photos of the windmill over the coming days and weeks as I made several photos on both my Zeiss and my Sure Shot Supreme.

Who knew there was a national egg-box shortage!

Refl-egg-tions

A photo from a few weeks back when I went for a wander around a part of town I’ve not explored before. Although it was far from the golden-hour, the light was still nice and I spotted this tray of eggs in a closed sandwich-shop window, positioned in such a way as to be largely unaffected by the reflections obscuring the rest of the shop’s interior. It’s a bit of an odd shot, but one I was really pleased with.
