London city skyline

The towers of the City of London loom above Southwark Bridge. The most distinctive is probably 20 Fenchurch Street, popularly know as the “walkie-talkie” seen to the right of the image. There are a number of other towers planned, including 1 Undershaft, a blocky-looking tower almost as tall as The Shard on the opposite bank of the Thames.

  1. Very nice cityscape. The XA3 really came through with this image. Also, I really admire the structure of HP5 PLUS’s grain when developed in DD-X. It has an almost graphite-pencil-on-heavy-texture-paper look to it. It’s extremely pleasing. Of course, the quality of your scans is always top notch as well. Nicely done.

    1. Thanks P. I’m very happy with the results the XA3 can produce. I find that HP5 can differ quite a lot in terms of grain – almost certainly down to variations in my development. I’ve had rolls shot at 800 & 1600asa and pushed that have exhibited less grain than this.
