It’s too hot to sit at my PC typing this evening, so this will be quick post.
A couple of pieces of street art a stone’s throw from each other – you can see the second piece in the first picture if you look closely.
I’m not sure of the artist of the first, but the second is by Phlegm and decorates the rear of the building that housed the now sadly departed Rare & Racy store. It closed because the building was compulsorily purcheased for re-development, but years have passed and not a sign of this has yet appeared.

Thanks. It wasn’t too bad in the house most of the day thankfully. Just early evening.

I walked along that little back lane earlier today!
The first is by Kid Acne who also works internationally and years ago Phlegm and Kid Acne collaborated on a few pieces around Sheffield.
Phlegms largest workin Sheffield, “Mausoleum of The Giants”, happened just over a year ago at Eye Witness Works. I’m a big fan of his work.
At the other end of the scale his copper plate engravings are bewildering. He works under a magnifying glass and even under a microscope to complete the engravings before printing. There are a few short videos on his instagram page.
There is a great short video about the Mausoleum and Sheffield on the link below.
I’m enjoying your blog – Keep up the good work 👍🙂
Best wishes Mr C

Thanks Mr C. I was disappointed that I didn’t get to visit Mausoleum of the Giants when it was there. The huge queues that resulted from its popularity meant i didn’t have the time. A shame.
